Web technology continues to progress by leaps and bounds.  Tobin Associates LLC prefers to define progress not on the basis of complexity, but on the basis of simplicity.  The more simplified a process, the more efficient the process tends to be.  Ultimately, efficiency equals effectiveness.

By keeping in mind that technology is never a be-all, end-all unto itself, it is then easier to place technology in the proper perspective.  Although it is true that technology will magnify a given organization's efficiencies, it is equally true that technology will also magnify a given organization's inefficiencies.  This is a cautionary note that must always be kept in mind when seeking to leverage value from a given technology.
